It represents a portion of <strong>reclaimed mainland<\/strong> (dating back to the Napoleonic era) that extends into the lagoon between the Bondantino canal and the Serraglia and Contarina Valleys.<\/p>\n<p>The itinerary winds through the <strong>barena (sandbank)<\/strong>, mainly along the <strong>lagoon containment embankments<\/strong>.
