\u201cTake your taste-buds<\/strong> on a gastronomic journey<\/strong>\u00a0through all the seasons<\/strong> and all the municipalities of the Land of the Tiepolo; from the products of the land<\/strong> to traditions deeply rooted in time, the Miranese area has a flourishing dining scene\u201d says Tiziana Molinari<\/strong>, economic category manager. The entire Miranese area is part of the Strada del Radicchio<\/strong>, and as such, it takes part in celebrating this type of local red chicory<\/strong>, the tasty radicchio with its roots in Treviso<\/strong>, or the variegated one from Castelfranco<\/strong>, both with the IGP label<\/strong>, which in each town bring fairs and celebrations in various forms. The most famous and sought-after one is perhaps the Radicchio Festival<\/strong> staged in Rio San Martino, in Scorz\u00e8, where the leafy vegetable is served in all shapes and forms, including desserts and tasty beers, as well as in classic dishes, of course.<\/p>\n<\/div> <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\n\n

If you want to sample\u00a0 local herbs, the Festa dei Fiori<\/strong><\/em> never fails to disappoint. The Flower Festival<\/strong>, is held every year on the 25th of April, and is an opportunity to taste seasonal herbs<\/strong> in a diverse range of creative dishes. Not far away, in autumn, pumpkins<\/strong> dominate the food scene in Salzano, with a large exhibition set up in the town’s former textile factory Filanda, where the vegetable can be enjoyed in all its forms, from starters to dessert.
\nThen, in November, – Tiziana continues – on the weekend of St. Martin’s Day, the Mirano’s main square is transformed into a playground for the “Grande Zogo de l’oca<\/em><\/strong>\u201d (the Game of The Goose). And goose meat is also the main ingredient of the delicacies to be tasted on the numerous food stall of this town fair that celebrate the end of the agricultural year of 11 November<\/strong>, the same way local farmers celebrated it in the past, by eating goose. To this day, visitors and locals alike can enjoy mouth-watering dishes such as\u00a0 duck rag\u00f9, goose sausage, brisket or more famous foie gras.
\nAnd what’s better than a glass of wine to match wonderfully cooked, hearty meals? Take a break from the food sampling and stop by at one of the quaint wine bars and \u201cbacari<\/em>\u201d<\/strong> of the area, from Noale to Mirano, just to mention the most famous squares, where the \u201ccicheto\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0is now a ritual.<\/p>\n<\/div> <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\n\n
