Eight towns, eight squares and eight unmissable events will liven up the warm summer nights across the Miranese area, which for several years has been a trendy hotspot, thanks to its famous“Notti Bianche” (white nights), recently enhanced by local businesses and shops with the Coloured Nights, to make them even more lively and distinctive. Every Saturday, starting from the end of May until the end of July, the “Notti Bianche” exerts a pull on visitors and locals alike and attracts 180.000 people thanks to the comprehensive participation of over 300 businesses and shops, the true heart and mind of the initiative – says Ennio Gallo, hotelier and event organizer.
Salzano, Olmo, Mirano, Scorzè, Maerne, Spinea, Noale, Martellago are the eight towns that contribute to create the lively atmosphere of the “Notti Bianche”, when the evenings under the stars smell of summer, from sunset until well past midnight. These events have by now become a fixed highlight of the Miranese summer. Each square becomes stage for live music, concerts, dance performances and magic shows, covering all genres and appealing to all ages. They host magic and dance performances, sporting exhibition, expos and cultural displays, even showcases dedicated to a wide range of passions. Visitors can also enjoy fashion shows under the stars, circus performances, demonstrations of traditional crafts, family-friendly activities and games for children. Miranese’s exciting nightlife has something for everyone and the options are endless when it comes to entertainment.
The squares hosting the Coloured Nights also offer the chance to delight the palate through specifically designed food and wine trails created by local restaurateurs. Stop by stop, the visitors will sample typical local products and traditional meals, while the celebrations unfold in the streets. In short, it is 360-degree entertainment—accessible to everyone and close at hand, yet with the atmosphere of a holiday. Some events are truly unmissable, such as the walk down the 1 km long square of Spinea’s “Notte Gialla”, or the candlelight dinner in the heart of Mirano, just to name a few. Each town is associated with its own traditional colours: lilian for Salzano, gold for Olmo, white for Mirano, blue for Scorzè, light blue for Maerne, yellow for Spinea, pink for Noale and red for Martellago. Local businesses compete in showcasing the best colour-themes products and services, offering late-night shopping during the event.
