Peseggia Peas Festival

Every year, at the end of May or the beginning of June, as spring comes to an end, the Municipality of Scorzè — known as the “land of water” — hosts the “Festa dei Bisi” in the village of Peseggia. For two weeks, the community celebrates this cherished local crop, paying tribute to the “Bisi De.Co.”, the prized peas cultivated by our local farms. The highlight is the fruit and vegetable exhibition held on May 29, where visitors can admire and taste these exceptional products.

During the festival you can enjoy varied dishes of typical Po Valley peasant cuisine serving a menu where Bisi reigns and where the pinnacle of taste is captured in the typical dish of Risi e Bisi (rice with peas).

There will be no shortage of entertainment with shows and evenings in the company of excellent dance music orchestras. Sports will open the Festival with the annual running race. An evening of competition for the Interegional Tug-of-War Championship will take place on May 26.
